"Do the dishes, Mop the floor, Milk the cow" the wife would say to her lazy husband.

Yet he did nothing.

The requests persisted and so did the mans unwillingness to carry them out, no matter how she insisted.

The wife went to the deep woods, and in her frustration she called upon the brownies to help her with her chores.

Eerie smiles and glowing eyes emerged from the darkness of the forest. The brownies had heard her request and came forth with a contract in hand. For their aid she would trade the life of her man. She signed with a grin, her signature sin, and was then told to return from whence she came.

The next eve back at home, The wife went to sleep, without one word to her hubby not a scowl, not a peep. She woke in the dawn to a house clean and neat, and her husband was gone, cept' for the blood on the sheets.

Every night just the same from that one on, No matter the mess by morning its gone. Only one tell, one tiny old shame, the blood stain on the sheets was forever the same.
